IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING REPAIRS

We have completed the scope of damages and estimated the cost of repairs per the detailed estimate provided to you.

You are entitled to receive quality repair work to restore the damaged property.

You have the right and duty to choose the contractor of your choice to complete the repairs.  Should your contractor have any questions concerning the repair estimate, he should contact the Adjuster assigned.  If your contractor's estimate is higher than the Adjuster's, please contact the Adjuster to resolve the differences.

We recommend you contract with a local restoration contractor.  Bear in mind, these companies use special cleaning chemicals unavailable to most general contractors or cleaning companies, so using a specialist in the field should guarantee the best results.  The contractor should provide references to your satisfaction.  It is recommended that you require Certificates of Insurance showing the current policies held for Workers Compensation and General Liability.  It is also recommended that you call the references provided and that you call the agent and verify that the Certificates of Insurance are genuine.  Also note their state license number on their truck and check the status of their license on-line at the state's website.

A listing of local restoration contractors is located in the Yellow Pages under either "Fire & Water Damage Restoration" [AT&T] or "Water & Fire Damage Restoration" [Verizon]. Additionally, there are four nationally franchised general contractors that preform disaster restoration work:
1-Belfor
2-Disaster Kleen-up
3-InStar
4-Paul Davis Restoration

In addition to then above named general contractors, three nationally franchised companies prefrom disaster cleaning work:
1-Servicemaster
2-ServPro
3-Steamatic

Under no circunstances should you do business with anyone who comes knocking on your door!  They just want to get into your wallet.

Neither the Insurance Company nor the Adjuster will authorize repairs; guarantee the quality of the work preformed; nor guarantee the completion within any specific time frame.

Neither the Insurance Company nor the Adjuster will guarantee payment to the repair contractor.  You, the policyholder, will be responsible for payment upon completion of the repairs to your satisfaction.  Make certain you receive lien waivers from all suppliers and sub-contractors before releasing final payments.
